Mechanical properties are measured on test pieces taken in the transverse or longitudinal direction, depending on the specification. The values below refer to the longitudinal direction and apply to plates with thickness ≤50 mm unless otherwise noted. For thicker sections, slight reductions in elongation are permitted.
