09CuPTiRE-A is a phosphorus-copper-titanium-rare earth (RE) atmospheric corrosion resistant structural steel specified in China railway industry standard TB/T 1979. It is primarily designed for railway vehicles, containers, and building structures exposed to outdoor weathering without painting. The steel combines moderate strength with excellent resistance to atmospheric corrosion through the formation of a dense, protective oxide layer. Its composition includes copper and phosphorus to enhance corrosion resistance, titanium for grain refinement, and rare earth elements to improve overall performance. Typical applications include railway carriages, bridges, and industrial cladding. The material is usually supplied in hot-rolled condition, with good weldability and formability.

Notes:
