Maximum carbon equivalent (CEV) is normally controlled to ensure excellent weldability, typically CEV ≤ 0.40% when specified. Notes:
- Aluminium is required as a grain refiner: acid‑soluble Al ≥ 0.015% or total Al ≥ 0.020%.
