S600MC Hot Rolled Steel Coil Application Introduction

S600MC is designed for weight-critical components requiring high static and dynamic strength. It can be formed by cold bending, stamping, roll forming, and deep drawing. The fine grain structure guarantees excellent resistance to fatigue and impact, while low carbon equivalent (CEV) permits trouble-free arc and resistance welding. The steel is typically used in the as-rolled or pickled condition and can be coated by electrogalvanizing or hot-dip galvanizing after forming.

  • Welding: Suitable for all common welding processes (MAG, laser, resistance spot). Low heat input and appropriate filler materials are recommended to maintain HAZ toughness.
