Notes:
ASTM A511 MT 317 stainless tubes may be supplied in lengths of 6 m, 12 m, or cut-to-length. The standard also allows supplementary requirements (S1 to S6) for non-destructive testing, etching, tolerance control, etc., which should be agreed upon at the time of order. For high-temperature applications, refer to ASTM A213 TP317 pressure tube data. Note that this grade does not exhibit magnetic properties in the annealed condition but may become slightly magnetic after cold working. Welding procedures should follow standard practices for austenitic stainless steels, typically using ER317 or E317 electrodes.
