AG400CL Hot Rolled Steel Coil Introduction

AG400CL is a hot-rolled high-yield-strength steel grade designed for automotive structural and wheel applications, specified in Baosteel enterprise standard Q/BQB 310-2009. It offers a minimum yield strength of 400 MPa, good formability and excellent weldability. The steel is typically supplied in the hot-rolled condition and is suitable for parts requiring strength and durability, such as wheel rims, discs and chassis components. Its controlled chemical composition ensures consistent mechanical properties and reliable performance in forming and welding processes.

Surface quality is intended for parts where normal surface imperfections are acceptable, unless improved quality is specified. Welding suitability is ensured by controlled carbon equivalent (CEV typically ≤0.35%).
