EN10025-6 S960QL High Strength Structural Steel for SSAW Pipe Introduction
S960QL is a high-strength quenched and tempered structural steel grade under EN 10025-6, featuring a minimum yield strength of 960 MPa and excellent low-temperature toughness. When produced as an SSAW (spiral submerged arc welded) pipe, it uses hot-rolled plate or strip that is subsequently formed and welded, delivering high load-bearing capacity and good weldability.
- Key attributes: high strength-to-weight ratio, good ductility, and reliable impact toughness at -40°C.
- Typical delivery condition: quenched and tempered (Q+T).
- Widely applied in heavy-duty structures, offshore engineering, and fluid transportation pipelines.
