The mechanical properties are for quenched and tempered condition as per ASME SA514/SA514M. The values depend on the thickness of the coil. For thickness ≤ 63.5 mm (2.5 in): minimum yield strength 690 MPa (100 ksi) and tensile strength 760–895 MPa (110–130 ksi). For thickness > 63.5 mm to 100 mm: yield strength 620 MPa (90 ksi) and tensile strength 690–895 MPa. Elongation is measured in 2 in (50 mm) for plates ≤ 20 mm, typically 18% minimum.
