09CuPTiRE-B is a low-alloy atmospheric corrosion-resistant steel (weathering steel) defined by the Chinese railway standard TB/T 1979. This grade contains copper, phosphorus, titanium, and rare earth (RE) additions to develop a protective rust layer that significantly improves corrosion resistance in outdoor environments. It offers a minimum yield strength of 295 MPa and tensile strength in the range of 410–550 MPa, with good ductility and formability. Typical delivery condition is hot-rolled or normalized.
